About Wireless Network

Wireless is a technology that connects the two devices to exchange data without cable media. Data is exchanged through the medium of light waves (such as infraredtechnology on the remote TV) or radio waves (such as bluetooth on your computer and phone) with a certain frequency.

The advantages of this technology is to eliminate the use of wires, which could beenough to disturb the aesthetics, and also the complexity of the installation to connect more than 2 devices simultaneously. For example: to connect a computer server with aclient computer 100, it takes a minimum of 100 pieces of cable, length varies according to distance from the server the client computer. If kabel2 is not through a special line that is covered (such as cable tray or conduit), it can interfere with views of the eye or theinterior of a building. Unpleasant sights are not found in the relationship between devices with Bluetooth wireless.

Wireless is a wireless technology, in this case is to have telecommunications usingelectromagnetic waves instead of cables. Current wireless technology is growing rapidly, can be seen by naked eye with a growing number of cellular phone usage, but italso develops wireless technology used for Internet access.

For example:

a. Infrared (IR)

b. wireless wide area network (bluetooth)

c. Radio Frequency (RF)

d. wireless personal area network / cellular phone (GSM / CDMA)

e. wireless lan (802.11)

Topology Tree

Tree topology is the topology of computer networks is shaped like a tree. In the tree topology all the computers do not have the same position. Computers that higher position control computer underneath it, so the computer network is dependent on computers that higher position. For the same computer kedudukanya called peer topology. See the picture below

Topology STAR

Star topology is the topology of the most popular. Star topology is a network topology of the most frequently used. Such topology is usually in apikasikan in schools, office buildings, or university. In a star topology, centralized control and all links must pass through the center of the channel data to all nodes or a computer of his choice. Central node is called the primary station or server and the other part is called the secondary station or client. In the star topology, which disrupted the connection between a node and the switch / hub does not affect the network. If the switch / hub disrupted (damaged) then all the nodes which connect to the hub can not communicate with each other. A node is a connection or connection point in the network, while the hub serves to receive signals and pass all of the computer connected to the hub. Star topology has the advantage of centralized control so easily in network management, high flexibility, ease of detection and isolation of faults or damage. If the hub / switch off the the network will die.

Topology RING

Ring topology is the topology of computer networks that is shaped like a ring, all computers connected to each other and uninterrupted. The drawback of this topology is that every node in the network will always come and manage the information passed in the network, so if there is a disturbance in a node then the entire network will be disrupted. The advantages of Ring topology  is not collision or collisions such as data transmission on the bus topology, since only one node can transmit data at a time.

Topology BUS

BUS topology is old technology, connected by a cable in a line topology of computer networks that use coaxial cable and use a BNC connector. At each end of the BUS topology there is a 50 Ohm terminator as an end connections. BUS topology advantages include the installation and pemeliharaanya cheap. BUS topology weakness that is less reliable, if one network is broken then all tissues will die.

Topology of Computer Networks

Computer network topology is the architecture of a computer network or a picture of the relationship between the planning of dams computer Local Area Network LAN or Wide Area Network WAN. There are several types of computer network topologies are used.

1. BUS topology
2. RING topology
3. STAR topology
4. TREE topology
5. MESH topology
6. HYBRID topology

Router

The router is a computer networking device that is capable of transmitting data or information from one network to another are different. The router will find the best path to send a message based on the destination address and source address. This process is called routing. Each router knows its local network addresses. The router's capabilities include the following.

1. The router can translate information between LAN Local Area Network and Internet
2. The router will find an alternative path to transmit data via the Internet.
3. Efficiently regulate signaling pathways and can regulate the flow of data between the two protocols.
4. Can manage data between the network topology.
5. Can manage data over coaxial cable, fiber optic or twisted pair
